This literature is subject to all applicable copyright laws and is not for resale in any manner.FPF2172 IntelliMAX Advanced Load Management April 2016 FPF2172 IntelliMAX Advanced Load Management Description Features The FPF2172 is a load switch which combines the 1.8 to 5.5 V Input Voltage Range functionality of the IntelliMAX series load switch with a Controlled Turn-On very low forward voltage drop Schottky barrier rectifier. The integrated solution provides full protection to 200 mA Current Limit Option systems and loads which may encounter large current Under-Voltage Lockout (UVLO) conditions in a very compact MLP 3 x 3 package. This device contains a 0.125 current-limited P-channel Thermal Shutdown MOSFET which can operate over an input voltage range <1 A Shutdown Current of 1.8-5.5 V. The Schottky diode acts as a barrier so that no reverse current can flow when the MOSFET is Fast Current Limit Response Time: off and the output voltage is higher than the input 3 s to Moderate Over Currents voltage. Switch control is by a logic input (ON) capable of interfacing directly with low voltage control signals. 20 ns to Hard Shorts Each part contains thermal shutdown protection which Integrated very Low VF Schottky Diode for Reverse shuts off the switch to prevent damage to the part when Current Blocking a continuous over-current condition causes excessive heating.
