The Omron E39-S65E is a 5.5mm-diameter cylindrical shaped, Sub-Miniature Infrared Light Sensor. This particular model has a sensing distance of 65cm, and a sensing angle of 20°. It is capable of detecting objects and/or people that come within its sensing area, and can be used for precise object detection, and also to check if an area or space is occupied or not.
