The SC16IS740IPW.112 is an advanced communication interface made by NXP and is used for a variety of serial port applications. It is a dual UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter) device with I2C, IrDA, SPI, and full UART interfaces. The device is designed to provide 5Mbps data transfer rate with 2.3 – 3.6 VDC supply voltage. It features a range of features and protocol support such as fast mode I2C, SPI with SPI master mode, and IrDA (1 Mbps). It also features an efficient power saving sleep mode and a programmable fractional baud rate generator. The SC16IS740IPW.112 is a powerful communication device with the required features to deliver high-speed packet data over multiple interfaces.
