Additional Infomation About Product

The PCF8574AT/3.518 is a device by NXP that is part of the PCF8574 extended I/O Expander family. It is designed to extend the number of I/O lines available to a microcontroller on a single bus. It is capable of providing 8 general purpose I/O lines with two handshake inputs for external interrupt initiation, or expand one of the lines to an open-drain output. The device is powered from the I2C bus allowing the user to connect from a supply of 1.8V to 6V. It features a 41kHz clock generator, which can support a 400kHz I2C data transfer rate, as well as a fast 400kHz switching frequency to reduce power consumption. Mounted in both SOIC and TSSOP packages, the PCF8574AT/3.518 has a very low static current consumption of 0.1µA, and is able to operate over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
