The Nexperia 74LV595PW.112 is a 8-bit serial-in parallel-out shift register. It is a low-voltage CMOS device designed for high speed operation and very low power dissipation. This device has multiple stages of 8-bit shift registers with the output of one stage feeding into the input of the next. This provides for longer shift register strings which act as a buffer for data. Data is transferred in and out of the device on a single line in a serial fashion. This shift register can be used for serial-to-parallel conversion as well as parallel-to-serial conversion. It is perfect for high-speed data multiplexing and data latching applications.
