The Motorola CD74HC30D is a high speed CMOS logic device from the logic family of CMOS devices. It is a hex noninverting buffer with open-drain outputs and is widely used for providing logic level operation for interfacing analog and digital systems. It has six N-channel MOSFETs with open-drain outputs and provides logic level conversion. The benefits of this device include low power consumption, fast switching speeds, low noise and ESD protection. It is also RoHS compliant and provides logic level conversion between 5V and 3V supply rail. The operating voltage range is 2.0V to 6.0V, making this device ideal for battery operation where low power consumption is desired.
