MP2489 Step Down White LED Driver with Wide 6V 60V Input Voltage The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP2489 is a high efficiency step-down Internal 65V MOSFET converter designed in continuous current mode Wide 6V to 60V Input Range for driving the high brightness Light Emitting 1A Output Current Diodes (LED) from wide input voltage 6V60V. High Efficiency (>95%) Hysteresis Control The MP2489 employs hysteretic control architecture to regulate a high accuracy LED PWM & Analog Dimming current, which is measured through an external 1000:1 PWM Dimming Resolution high-side current sensing resistor. Moreover, Thermal Shutdown this control scheme provides optimized circuit Inherent Open LED Protection stabilization and very quick response time Short LED Protection without the loop compensation. Its low 202mV Available in TSOT23-5, QFN6(3x 3mm) and average feedback voltage reduces power loss SOIC8E Packages and improves the converter efficiency. APPLICATIONS The MP2489 implements PWM and analog Low Voltage Halogen Replacement dimming together with DIM pin.
