MP2018 16V, 500mA, Low Quiescent Current Linear Regulator DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP2018 is a low-power linear regulator 3V to 16V Input Range that supplies power to systems with high- 10A Quiescent Supply Current voltage batteries. The MP2018 includes a wide Stable with Low-Value Output Ceramic 3V to 16V input voltage range, low dropout Capacitor (>0.47F) voltage, and low quiescent supply current. The 500mA Specified Current low quiescent current and low dropout voltage Fixed Output Voltage allow the MP2018 to operate at extremely low Output 2% Accuracy power levels. Therefore, the MP2018 is ideal for Specified Current Limit low-power microcontrollers and battery- Power Good powered equipment. Programmable Power Good Delay The MP2018 provides two fixed output voltage Thermal Shutdown and Short-Circuit options: 3.3V and 5.0V. Protection (SCP) -40C to +150C Specified Junction The regulator output current is limited internally, Temperature Range and the device is protected against short-circuit, Available in a TO252-5 Package overload, and over-temperature conditions. The MP2018 also includes thermal shutdown and APPLICATIONS current-limiting fault protection. Portable/Battery-Powered Equipment The MP2018 is available in a TO252-5 Ultra-Low Power Microcontrollers package.
