MagAlpha MA702 12-Bit, Digital, Contactless Angle Sensor with ABZ Incremental & PWM Outputs DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MA702 detects the absolute angular 12-Bit Resolution Absolute Angle Encoder position of a permanent magnet, typically a Contactless Sensing for Long Life diametrically magnetized cylinder on a rotating SPI Serial Interface for Digital Angle shaft. Fast data acquisition and processing Readout and Chip Configuration provide accurate angle measurement at speeds Incremental 10-Bit ABZ Quadrature from 0 to 60,000 rpm. Encoder Interface with Programmable Pulses Per Turn from 1-256 The MA702 supports a wide range of magnetic PWM Output 12-Bit field strengths and spatial configurations. Both Programmable Magnetic Field Strength end-of-shaft and off-axis (side-shaft mounting) Detection for Diagnostic Checks configurations are supported. 3.3V, 12mA Supply The MA702 features magnetic field strength -40C to +125C Operating Temperature detection with programmable thresholds to allow Available in a QFN-16 (3mmx3mm) sensing of the magnet position relative to the Package sensor for creation of functions such as the sensing of axial movements or for diagnostics.
