EV5921-V-01A 16V,50A,1m (Rds on) HOT-SWAP INTELLI-FUSE SOLUTION The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES MP5921 is a monolithic integrated controller 4V to 16V Operating Input Range and switch. It contains a high-side MOSFET Maximum 50A Output Current and other circuitry that enables it to work as Support 60A Output Current With Air Flow stand-alone or to be controlled by a hot-swap Integrated Switch with Lower Rds(on) 1m controller. MP5921 drives up to 50 A of Built-In MOSFET Driver continuous current per device at room 3.0V LDO Output temperature, while with air flow, the continuous Integrated Current Sensing with Sense current can reach to 60A. Output The MP5921 limits the inrush current to the Separate Current Sensing Output Used to load when a circuit card is inserted into a live Program Over-Current Value backplane power source, thereby limiting the Built-In Insertion Delay backplanes voltage drop. MP5921 limits the Adjustable Soft Start internal MOSFET current by controlling the gate Output Short-Circuit Protection voltage through the current limit reference input. Over-Temperature Protection Built-In Fuse Health Reporting MP5921 offers many features to simplify the Fault Signal Output system design. It provides an integrated Parallel Operation for Higher Current solution to monitor the output current and the Applications die temperature, eliminating the need for an external current-sense power resistor, power Integrated Intelli-Fuse Temperature Sense MOSFET, and thermal sense device.
