IDN-2G stands for Internationalized Domain Names 2nd Generation. It is an initiative launched by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). The goal of this initiative is to allow the registration of domain names in any language, allowing the use of non-Latin characters. IDN-2G also includes the ability to register, manage and resolve domain names with internationalized characters. This technology allows online businesses and governments to create domain names that are related to native languages, cultures and customs.
