Design
The KSZ8051MLL is a Physical Layer device specifically designed to be used in Ethernet applications. It is a single-chip Ethernet physical layer transceiver which integrates an IEEE 802.3 compliant Media Access Control (MAC) interface and a PHY interface. It supports 10/100 Mbps speeds with auto-negotiation and provides a variety of interface options depending on the system hardware. It is suitable for network cards, home gateways, digital TV, and game consoles. The KSZ8051MLL features include low power consumption, low Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI), and a fully integrated Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC). It also provides 50m length capability, support for full and half duplex mode, and loop diagnostic functions. Its internal 26MHz clock enables flexible data rate configuration and supports wake-up functions.
