Additional Infomation About Product

The RS232 Isolator Click carries the ADI ADUM1250E gate-driver IC, which provides a simple, bidirectional line isolation for RS232 applications. Its opto-coupled isolation provides 2500 V rms data isolation, allowing the user to control communication between two devices without exposure to ground loop problems or surges in voltage. The click also features RJ-45 connector, allowing a simple connection to the PC via an appropriate cable. On the other side, a DB9 connector is provided for connection to the device. Isolation between the TX lines and RX lines is provided, and LEDs are present in order to indicate the data transmission between the two endpoints.
