MM1-FB is a Microtran (MT) feature block which encompasses a range of functions to help with the microtransmission of data. It offers control of up to 7 channels of transmission speeds, signal level conversions for controlling different signal types, a built-in error detection and correction capability, and data routing. This feature block can be programmed to automatically detect, store, and reassemble data packets transmitted across any number of channels into a single stream for reassembly and output. It can also handle "virtual" communication between two modules, allowing modules which don't physically connect to each other but need to communicate, as well as provides handshaking protocols to ensure data is correctly transmitted without loss or corruption.
