MIC24052 12V, 6A High-Efficiency Buck Regulator with HyperLight Load Features General Description HyperLight Load Efficiency: up to 80% at 10 mA The MIC24052 is a constant-frequency, synchronous DC/DC buck regulator featuring a unique adaptive Architecture Enables: Hyper Speed Control on-time control architecture. The MIC24052 operates - High Delta V Operation (V = 19V and V IN OUT over an input supply range of 4.5V to 19V. It has an = 0.8V) internal linear regulator which provides a regulated 5V - Small Output Capacitance to power the internal control circuitry. The MIC24052 4.5V to 19V Input Voltage Range operates at a constant 600 kHz switching frequency in 6A Output Current Capability continuous-conduction mode and can be used to provide up to 6A of output current. The output voltage Up to 95% Efficiency is adjustable down to 0.8V. Adjustable Output from 0.8V to 5.5V Microchips HyperLight Load architecture provides 1% Feedback Accuracy the same high-efficiency and ultra-fast transient Any Capacitor Stable - Zero-to-High ESR architecture response as the Hyper Speed Control 600 kHz Switching Frequency under medium to heavy loads, but also maintains high Power Good (PG) Output efficiency under light load conditions by transitioning to Foldback Current-Limit and Hiccup Mode variable-frequency, discontinuous-mode operation.
