The MCP651-E/SN is a charge pump voltage regulator developed by Microchip Technology. It is a small and extremely efficient linear regulator, providing up to 1.5 A output current with a very low quiescent current of 15 µA in drop-out mode. This device offers the capability to step-down an unregulated input voltage to a regulated output voltage of up to 4.5 V with a high efficiency of up to 96%. Its wide input operating range enables the use of just a single component to regulate a wide variety of input voltage sources from low battery voltages of 1.8 V up to 9.0 V. This device also provides a low output ripple, fast transient response and stable output voltage in all types of applications.
