The AT93C56B-SSHM-T is a non-volatile serial EEPROM chip from Microchip manufactured in the Small SOIC 8-pin package. It is organized as 256 words x 8 bits, or 128 words x 16 bits with a 2Kbit storage capacity. The device is designed to operate on a 1.7V supply voltage and is accessed via a fast three-wire interface using the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) protocol. The device is fabricated using an advanced CMOS technology and an NiPdAu (Nickel Palladium Gold) contact system. Additionally, the device features two-level program/erase structure with an on-chip address counter and can maintain data retention for up to 100 years. The device is suitable for in systems requiring storage of non-volatile, low-density data such as microprocessors, microcontrollers, consumer goods, industrial control systems, and computers.
