The 24LC16BT-I/SN is a 16 Kbit Serial Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM) with two-wire I2C interface designed by Microchip. It features 8 blocks (256 x 8bit) and a maximum clock frequency of 400kHz. This device uses a standard 8-pin SOIC package for mounting. It supports a wide range of features such as low voltage operation down to 1.8V, a maximum 8MHz clock frequency, a write protection pin, write protect/enable bit, an integrated 4-bit hardware addressable memory, and an array of control and status bits. Its industry de facto standard 2-wire interface includes a Serial Clock (SCL) pin for synchronizing data, and a Serial Data (SDA) bidirectional pin for serial data transfer. It is designed to operate at temperatures between -40? and +85? and is an ideal choice for remote and distributed memory applications.
