XR76115 15A Synchronous Step Down COT Regulator General Description FEATURES The XR76115 is a synchronous step-down regulator combining 15A capable step down regulator the controller, drivers, bootstrap diode and MOSFETs in a single 4.5V to 5.5V low V operation IN package for point-of-load supplies. The XR76115 has a load 5V to 22V wide single input voltage current rating of 15A. A wide 5V to 22V input voltage range allows 0.6V adjustable output voltage for single supply operation from industry standard 5V, 12V and Controller, drivers, bootstrap diode and 19.6V rails. MOSFETs integrated in one package With a proprietary emulated current mode Constant On-Time Proprietary Constant On-Time control (COT) control scheme, the XR76115 provides extremely fast line No loop compensation required and load transient response using ceramic output capacitors. It Ceramic output capacitor stable requires no loop compensation, simplifying circuit implementation operation and reducing overall component count. The control loop also Programmable 200ns - 2s on-time provides 0.25% load and 0.12% line regulation and maintains Quasi constant 200kHz - 800kHz constant operating frequency. A selectable power saving mode frequency allows the user to operate in discontinuous mode (DCM) at light Selectable CCM or CCM / DCM current loads, thereby significantly increasing the converter operation efficiency. Precision enable and Power-Good flag A host of protection features, including over-current, over- Programmable soft-start temperature, short-circuit and UVLO, help achieve safe operation under abnormal operating conditions. 6x6mm 37-pin QFN package The XR76115 is available in a RoHS-compliant, green / halogen- APPLICATIONS free, space-saving QFN 6x6mm package.
