The MaxLinear SP3485CN-L/TR is an RS-485 transceiver with 10 Mbps full-duplex capability and low power consumption. It is designed for 3.3 V applications and is housed in an SOIC-8N package. The SP3485 Series provides a 2-wire full duplex interface with differential, balanced data transmission at data rates up to 10 Mbps. The device has high immunity to EMI interference, low power consumption, and wide common-mode input voltage range. It also incorporates a receiver fail-safe design which guarantees a logic-high receiver output in case of both shorted and open-circuit conditions.
