The SP3232EUEA-L/TR is an RS-232 transceiver from MaxLinear, in the SP3232EU series. This device is a surface mount component, with an SSOP-16 package. The transceiver is rated to transmit data at up to 1000 kbps, and has an operating voltage of 5.5 volts. The device has two receivers and two drivers, each with ESD protection to 15 kV, and is designed to meet the RS-232 requirements for a wide range of serial protocol applications. The transceiver also features a low shutdown mode, with low power consumption and a standby current of 1 µA. In addition, this device has an operating temperature range of -40° to 105°C.
