Additional Infomation About Product

The IXYS PLA140C is a Ultra Fast 1300V/140A Gate Turn-Off Thyristor (GTO). It is designed for high-power applications such as automation, power supplies, UPS, solar inverters, welding, and induction heating. The gate drive circuit consists of two Power MOSFETs (internal FETs) insulated from the main circuit. The gate turn-off is achieved by short-circuiting the FETs. The device has a low maximum on-state voltage drop of 1.7V and a high turn-off speed of 0.1 microsecond. It also features a remote gate control and integrated over-temperature protection. The PLA140C is RoHS compliant and compliant to 950/2/EC and IEC/EN 60747-5-2 standards.
