Additional Infomation About Product

The EL3022 is a Triac Optocoupler DIP-6 manufactured by Everlight and is RoHS compliant. It is designed to provide electrical isolation between a low voltage, low power control circuit and a high voltage, high power control circuit. It features an optocoupler with an LED side and a zero-crossing detector side. The LED side is driven by the control circuit to turn the TRIAC gate on and off at specific times. The zero-crossing detector side measures the zero-crossing point of the mains AC voltage and is used to prevent mis-firing of the TRIAC. The EL3022 also offers protection against input overvoltage or surge into the optocoupler LED, and is designed to meet UL, VDE, CSA, and EN safety regulations.
