KEP 300626 is a part of the French government's Sauvegarde Patrimoine digital et Open Data project, implemented by Etalab, the public Digital Agency. It is aimed at creating a data-sharing platform for public data related to the French cultural heritage such as architecture, archaeology, history, art, science, and geology. The platform will be based on the Open Knowledge Foundation's Digital Public Goods (DPG) paradigm. It will ensure that public data is published in open formats with no strings attached, so that it can easily be used and shared by everyone. The platform will also make sure that public data is updated regularly, using the latest technologies and standards. The ultimate goal of the project is to make French cultural heritage data available to everyone and to make sure it is preserved in an accessible, open and unified way.
