1.8472 is a locking element manufactured by Elesa & Ganter that functions as a detent pin and spring. 2.It is available in three different versions, depending on size, color, and grade. 3.The material used is steel or stainless steel and can also be supplied from chemical blackening or galvanized. 4.The body of the 8472 is tube-shaped and has two angular faces which are formed to accept the detent pin and the spring. 5.It is designed to fit into a variety of fixtures or mounting feet, where the detent pin is used to secure the element into place and the spring ensures that the element remains tight. 6.Head styles are available in symmetrical or asymmetrical geometry in addition to round or square stemmed pins. 7.Desired levels of non-lock and lock tightness can be achieved through the pre-tensioning of the spring. 8.8472 is particularly suitable for applications with medium to heavy duty requirements in the fields of mechanical engineering, agriculture, and mining.
