The WS57C51C-55JI (ST) is a smart transceiver that is part of E2v's family of Smart Interface Solutions. It is a single chip CMOS transceiver designed for high-performance applications supporting low power consumption. It supports asynchronous communications between two devices, providing full-duplex communication over a single wire. The device supports up to eight data bits, providing a wide range of control information transmitted between digital systems. It also features an 8-bit serial port that supports a wide range of communication protocols and is fully programmable for user-defined settings. The high-speed data rate of up to 41.6 Kbps allows the device to quickly transmit data between digital systems. In addition, the device includes error detection tools and a programmable time-out feature.
