The IW1799-32 controller is a medium-density, switch-mode controller designed with Dialog Semiconductor’s SmartSwitch technology for superior noise immunity and improved efficiency in various applications. The integrated circuit is packaged with a SOIC-8 footprint suitable for surface-mount and is compliant with the European Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) legislation. The IW1799-32 is designed to provide a very low power loss across a wide input voltage range, allowing it to easily handle light-load conditions and making it an ideal solution for high efficiency and compact designs. This device is capable of driving N-channel MOSFETs for high-side and low-side outputs and includes many features, such as overcurrent protection, thermal shutdown protection, soft-start, precharge, and more. It also provides an internal linear regulator output, which can be used for powering up an external voltage supervisor or many other functions.
