Electronics Tech (CJ)The BT136S is a two-way, TRIAC 600V, TO-252-2 (DPAK) RoHS manufactured by Changjiang Electronics Tech (CJ). It is a thyristor (or silicon controlled rectifier – SCR) that is used to control electrical power in various AC devices. It can act as a switch by triggering on or off when triggered by an external voltage and allowing an AC current to flow. It is commonly used for AC motor speed control, light dimming, and switching applications. With a forward voltage drop of 1.7V at 25A, it can handle high power and higher voltage applications. The BT136S also features higher high temperature and current ratings which makes it suitable for industrial applications. Additionally, it is RoHS compliant and can be used in applications which require it.
