MAX328/MAX329 19-1006 Rev 3 2/11 Ultra-Low Leakage Monolithic CMOS Analog Multiplexers General Description Features The MAX328/MA329 are monolithic CMOS analog multi- Ultra-Low Off- and On-Leakage: 1pA Typ plexers. The MAX328 is a single-ended, 1-of-8 device, Bidirectional Operation (Use as Mux or Demux) and the MAX329 is a differential, 2-of-8 device. TTL and CMOS Logic Compatibility Designed to provide the lowest possible on- and off- Analog-Signal Range Includes Power-Supply Rails leakages, these multiplexers switch signals from high source impedance, providing the mux operates into a Switching Speeds Less Than 1.5s high-input-impedance op amp or A/D converter. The Pin Compatible with DG508/DG509 and MAX328/MAX329 are pin-for-pin replacements for the MAX358/MAX359 popular DG508/DG509 in these applications. Latchup Proof Construction Adding an external 40k resistor to each input makes the MAX328/MAX329 an excellent fault-tolerant multi- Ordering Information plexer. Low leakage (less than 1pA at +25C) and PART TEMP RANGE PIN-PACKAGE 2.5k on-resistance allow the circuit to sustain 110V MAX328CPE+ 0C to +70C 16 Plastic DIP AC faults indefinitely while maintaining an error of less than 40nV for normal signals (i.e., 1pA times 40k). MAX328CWE+ 0C to +70C 16 Wide SO The MAX328/MAX329 work equally well with a single MAX328CJE 0C to +70C 16 CERDIP supply of 10V to 30V or dual supplies of 5V to 18V.
