LTM4606 Ultralow EMI 28V , 6A IN DC/DC Module Regulator FEATURES DESCRIPTION n Complete Low EMI Switch Mode Power Supply The LTM 4606 is a complete EN55022 Class B certified n Wide Input Voltage Range: 4.5V to 28V noise high voltage 6A switching mode DC/DC power sup- n 6A DC Typical, 8A Peak Output Current ply. Included in the package are the switching control- n 0.6V to 5V Output Voltage Range ler, power FETs, inductor, and all support components. n The on-board input filter and noise cancellation circuits EN55022 Class B Certified n achieve low noise operation, thus effectively reducing Output Voltage Tracking and Margining n the electromagnetic interference (EMI). Operating over PLL Frequency Synchronization n an input voltage range of 4.5V to 28V, the LTM4606 sup- 1.75% Total DC Error n ports an output voltage range of 0.6V to 5V, set by a single Power Good Output n resistor. This high efficiency design delivers 6A continu- Current Foldback Protection (Disabled at Start-Up) ous current (8A peak). Only bulk input and output capaci- n Parallel/Current Sharing tors are needed to finish the design. n Current Mode Control n Up to 93% Efficiency at 5V , 3.3V IN OUT High switching frequency and an adaptive on-time current n Programmable Soft-Start mode architecture enables a very fast transient response n Output Overvoltage Protection to line and load changes without sacrificing stability. The n 55C to 125C Operating Temperature Range device supports output voltage tracking and output volt- (LTM4606MP) age margining. n SnPb or RoHS Compliant Finish Furthermore, the Module regulator can be synchronized n 15mm 15mm 2.82mm LGA Package with an external clock for reducing undesirable frequency 15mm 15mm 3.42mm BGA Package harmonics and allows PolyPhase operation for high load currents.
