The LTC3625IDE-1#PBF is an integrated 2-cell Li-Ion/Li-Polymer battery charger IC from Analog Devices. It features a high-efficiency, 1A charge current and programmable charge current to ensure proper charging of batteries. It is designed to provide power to battery-powered systems and applications with high safety requirements and is equipped with a smart safety timer for safe, long-term battery charging. It includes protections against thermal runaway, excessive charging, and overvoltage, and features an open process feedback pin for monitoring battery voltage, current and temperature. It is also able to support two different charging modes: constant current/constant voltage (CC/CV) and trickle charge. It has an external current monitoring/limiting resistor and an internal low resistance N-C FET switch for lower power dissipation, higher efficiency, and lower heat generation. The IC is packaged in a 16-lead PBF and is ideal for space-constrained designs.
