LT3001 36V 4W No-Opto Isolated Flyback Converter FEATURES DESCRIPTION n 4V to 36V Input Voltage Range The LT 3001 is a micropower isolated flyback converter. n 1.2A, 65V Internal DMOS Power Switch By sampling the isolated output voltage directly from the n Low Quiescent Current primary-side flyback waveform, the part requires no third n Boundary Mode Operation at Heavy Load winding or opto-isolator for regulation. The output voltage n Low-Ripple Burst Mode Operation at Light Load is programmed with a single external resistor. Internal n Minimum Load <0.5% (Typ) of Full Output compensation and soft-start further reduce external com- n V Set with a Single External Resistor ponent count. Boundary mode operation provides a small OUT n No Transformer Third Winding or Opto-Isolator magnetic solution with excellent load regulation. Low Required for Regulation ripple Burst Mode operation maintains high efficiency at n Accurate EN/UVLO Threshold and Hysteresis light load while minimizing the output voltage ripple. A n Internal Compensation and Soft-Start 1.2A, 65V DMOS power switch is integrated along with n Output Short-Circuit Protection all high voltage circuitry and control logic into a 5-lead n 5-Lead TSOT-23 Package ThinSOT package. The LT3001 operates from an input voltage range of 4V to 36V and can deliver up to 4W of isolated output power.
