LT1761 Series 100mA, Low Noise, LDO Micropower Regulators in TSOT-23 FEATURES DESCRIPTION n Low Noise: 20V (10Hz to 100kHz) The LT 1761 series are micropower, low noise, low RMS n Low Quiescent Current: 20A dropout regulators. With an external 0.01F bypass n Wide Input Voltage Range: 1.8V to 20V capacitor, output noise drops to 20V over a 10Hz to RMS n Output Current: 100mA 100kHz bandwidth. Designed for use in battery-powered n Very Low Shutdown Current: <0.1A systems, the low 20A quiescent current makes them an n Low Dropout Voltage: 300mV at 100mA ideal choice. In shutdown, quiescent current drops to less n Fixed Output Voltages: 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2V, 2.5V, than 0.1A. The devices are capable of operating over an 2.8V, 3V, 3.3V, 5V input voltage from 1.8V to 20V, and can supply 100mA of n Adjustable Output from 1.22V to 20V output current with a dropout voltage of 300mV. Quiescent n Stable with 1F Output Capacitor current is well controlled, not rising in dropout as it does n Stable with Aluminum, Tantalum or with many other regulators. Ceramic Capacitors The LT1761 regulators are stable with output capacitors as n Reverse-Battery Protected low as 1F. Small ceramic capacitors can be used without n No Reverse Current the series resistance required by other regulators. n No Protection Diodes Needed n Internal protection circuitry includes reverse battery Overcurrent and Overtemperature Protected n protection, current limiting, thermal limiting and reverse Available in Tiny 5-Lead TSOT-23 Package current protection. The device is available in xed output APPLICATIONS voltages of 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2V, 2.5V, 2.8V, 3V, 3.3V and 5V, and as an adjustable device with a 1.22V reference n Cellular Phones voltage.
