The AD694JNZ with Instrumentation Amplifiers IC 4-20mA Mono Current Transmitter manufactured by Analog Devices is a monolithic current-output isolator device intended for industrial process control applications. It provides isolation and conversion of low-level signals from the field into a standardized 4-20mA current output. The output current is designed to ideally drive a 2-wire 500O-load with a voltage drop of up to 15V. It features a high-impedance, low-distortion differential input stage and a precision current output. With the addition of a single external resistor the input span can be adjusted to provide either a unipolar or bipolar current output. The device is designed to withstand a ±40V transient and provide a fixed and reliable output current of 4mA to 20mA. The AD694JNZ is a popular choice for providing isolated loop-powered transmitters with a large signal range.
