The U-Blox EVK-L21 Mobile Development Tools Evaluation Kit represents the ultimate platform for evaluating the U-Blox L2x, a series of LTE Cat NB1 (NB-IoT) as well as 2G/3G/4G, Wireless and GNSS modem solutions. The boards offer a wealth of features to help evaluate the modem solutions’ performance.The modules measure only 14 mm x 9 mm and have a typical power consumption of less than 2 mA in idle mode. This small size and low power consumption makes them ideal for a variety of applications across many industries, including: consumer electronics, IOT, healthcare and automotive.The EVK-L21 uses a 3.5 mm 2×25 pin synchronous IO breadboard connector, which includes the Data, Power and CPU signals. This allows designers to easily evaluate the board’s capabilities with existing development systems and existing on-board sensor modules. It offers a broad range of features including high-sensitivity GNSS and advanced dead reckoning support, as well as nearby tag and personal tracker/PiP (position in packet) tracking.In addition, the EVK-L21 has 2.0, 2.2 and 2.1 Audio / Voice interfaces. This allows users to quickly and easily produce a wide range of audio-related applications including global-voice recognition and speech synthesis. To help developers evaluate the L2x’s performance the TOBY-L2x module contains up to 4-band LTE, 2G/3G/4G along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GNSS receivers, as well as a rich range of supported interfaces. It also comes with extensive support through U-Blox’s extensive development suite, U-Center. This allows users to quickly and easily configure, program and monitor their application.
