The UCC28C42QDRQ1 is a low-power current-mode PWM controller manufactured by Texas Instruments. The controller is an automotive BiCMOS switching controller that is housed in an 8-pin SOIC package with -40 to 125 operating temperature range. It is ideal for use in applications requiring smooth, low-ripple DC output. The device automatically detects whether the input voltage is unipolar or bipolar and sets the correct control law accordingly. It also features over temperature, over voltage and over current protection. The device supports multiple control modes, including independent current mode PWM, variable frequency PWM and constant frequency PWM. Additionally, it can support single-ended and fully differential topologies, allowing it to be used in multiple power applications.
