CD4099BE Texas Instruments

The CD4099BE with Latches 8-Bit Addressable manufactured by Texas Instruments is an IC (Integrated Circuit) that is used for addressable latching of 8-bit parallel data. The CD4099BE has 8 latches which can latch up to 8 bits of data at a time. It has eight select lines (A0 to A7) which can be used to select one or more of the latches to be enabled. It is designed to latch inputs from a microcontroller or other digital sources and to drive buffers for serial or parallel output. The CD4099BE requires a single 5 Volt DC supply and can operate from 0 to 30 degrees Celsius (32 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit) temperature range. The output is a 3-state latch which can be used to drive LEDs or other components in a matrix configuration. The maximum output current is 8 mA. It has a propagation delay time of 300 ns (max) and a transition time of 30 ns (max). The CD4099BE is also RoHS compliant.
