Raytheon’s 50-3-1 program is a conflict resolution and team-building approach used to promote the exchange of ideas, strengthen relationships, and resolve team conflict. The program is composed of three parts:
50: Everyone is given 50 seconds to speak about their ideas and feelings about the issue being discussed.
3: After 50 seconds, three minutes of dialogue should be used to discuss the issue further and/or resolve it.
1: During the dialogue, each person is given one minute to explain their point of view.
This approach encourages discussion, collaboration, and compromise between team members in order to achieve a positive outcome.
