The KSZ9896CTXI-TR is a 6-port Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) Managed Switch with support for various physical interfaces including Reduced Media Independent Interface (RMII), Media Independent Interface (MII), Gigabit Media Independent Interface (GMII), and Reduced Gigabit Media Independent Interface (RGMII). It is manufactured by Microchip and designed for use in Ethernet applications where managed switching functionality is desired such as within computing systems, consumer electronics, networking, and industrial automation. The switch supports advanced features like 802.1q VLAN support, Quality of Service (QoS), MAC Address learning, storm protection, and traffic monitoring. It is programmed and managed through an application programming interface and IEEE 802.3 Ethernet MIB and supports various data transfer modes (full and half duplex) and speeds (10/100/1000 Mbps).
