P-13 GY is part of the MASZCZYK Polish Mine-Laying System. This system consists of three main elements, the mine-laying system, the mine disposal system, and the remote controlled mine disposal system. The P-13 GY is a remotely controlled mine-laying system consisting of two items. The first is the mine-laying machine (MLM), which is a motorized vehicle designed to move on either flat ground or on a pre-selected route in order to lay mines. The second is the minefield system, which is a series of electronic and mechanical equipment designed to detect, locate and report on the placement of mines. Additionally, the P-13 GY can include a number of other features such as minefield detonators, various sensors and alarms, and specialized tools and equipment.
