May 19, 2014 Subject: Short Circuit Current Rating (SCCR) changes to power terminal blocks Dear Valued Customer: Due to ULs periodic file review of terminal blocks, MSP has recently re-tested several of our products in accordance with the latest testing procedures, which resulted in many slight changes to the ratings of our products. Most of the changes are an increase to the smallest wire approved or a decrease to the largest fuse approved for a particular combination. As a general example: - Where a minimum load side 14 wire was acceptable with a 200A fuse at a 100kA SCCR, it may now only allow a minimum of a 10 wire with that combination. - Where a minimum load side 14 wire was acceptable with a 200A fuse at a 100kA SCCR, it may now only allow a maximum fuse size of 150A with that combination. Not all ratings were changed.
