RMSE-2D JBC Tools

The RMSE-2D part of the JBC tools is an algorithm for dynamic programming used for computing relative goodness-of-fit of an observed variable against a reference variable. The algorithm is based on the Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) method. This method evaluates the differences between two datasets by calculating the mean of squares of their differences. The RMSE-2D part of the JBC Tools can also be used to compare the difference of two variables in two dimensional space. This algorithm is useful for finding discrepancies between two variables, either spatially or temporally, which can be used to evaluate the performance of a model or a prediction.
