The AS3677-ZWLT-500 is a multiphase controller IC designed by ams AG for use in LED backlighting applications. It has all necessary features to control, regulate and monitor the current through up to five (5) strings of LEDs at up to 500 mA/string. The IC has integrated DC/DC step-down PWM converters, built-in high-accuracy LED current matching, a high-efficiency LED current regulation, and an output stage with various current-source options. It also features hysteresis LED dimming via pulse-width modulation, and programmable control over operations such as dimming speed and dimming direction.
