XR79206 40V, 6A Synchronous Step-Down COT Power Module Description FEATURES The XR79206 is part of a family of 40V synchronous step-down 6A step-down power module power modules combining the controller, drivers, inductor, passive 5V to 40V wide single input voltage 0.6V adjustable output voltage components and MOSFETs in a single package for point-of-load Controller, drivers, inductor, passive supplies. This module requires very few external components, leading components and MOSFETs integrated in to ease of design and fast time to market. The XR79206 has a load one package current rating of 6A. A wide 5V to 40V input voltage range allows for Proprietary constant on-time control single supply operation from industry standard 24V 10%, 18V to 36V No loop compensation required and rectified 18VAC and 24VAC rails. Stable with ceramic output capacitors Programmable 100ns to 1s on-time With a proprietary emulated current mode Constant On-Time (COT) Constant 400kHz to 800kHz frequency control scheme, the XR79206 provides extremely fast line and load Selectable CCM or DCM / CCM transient response using ceramic output capacitors. It requires no operation loop compensation, simplifying circuit implementation and reducing Precision enable and power-good flag overall component count. The control loop also provides 0.2% load Programmable soft-start and 0.1% line regulation and maintains constant operating frequency. 10mm x 10mm x 4mm QFN package A selectable power saving mode, allows the user to operate in APPLICATIONS Discontinuous Current Mode (DCM) at light current loads significantly Drones and remote vehicles increasing the converter efficiency. Automotive displays A host of protection features, including overcurrent, over temperature, FPGA / DSP / processor supplies short-circuit and UVLO, help achieve safe operation under abnormal Industrial control and automation operating conditions. Telecommunications and infrastructure equipment The XR79206 is available in a RoHS-compliant, green / halogen-free Distributed power architecture space-saving 10mm x 10mm x 4mm QFN package.
