Additional Infomation About Product

The VCNL4020-GS08 is a Proximity and Ambient Light Sensor (ALS) manufactured by Vishay. It is designed for function integration and low power consumption in consumer electronics and mobile applications. The device measures the intensity of ambient light (ALS) and proximity (PS). The ALS captures the spectral range from visible to near infrared light while the PS provides accurate presence detection and proximity distance ranging up to 200 mm. With an integrated infrared emitter and 16 bit resolution, the VCNL4020-GS08 provides high accuracy in a small package. Other features include an enhanced temperature compensation algorithm for improved accuracy, high speed serial interface (I2C) up to 8MHz and a wide power supply range from 2.5V to 3.6V.
