Wireless Power Receiver P9221-R for 15W Applications Datasheet Description Features The P9221-R is a high-efficiency, Qi-compliant wireless power Single-chip solution supporting up to 15W applications receiver targeted for applications up to 15W. Using magnetic induc- WPC-1.2.3 compliant tive charging technology, the receiver converts an AC power signal Patented over-voltage protection clamp eliminating external from a resonant tank to a programmable regulated 9V or 12V DC capacitors output voltage. The integrated, low RDS synchronous rectifier ON 87% peak DC-to-DC efficiency with P9242-R Tx and ultra-low dropout linear (LDO) regulator offer high efficiency, making the product ideally suited for battery-operated applications. Full synchronous rectifier with low RDS switches ON Programmable output voltage: 9V or 12V The P9221-R includes an industry-leading 32 bit ARM Cortex- M0 microprocessor offering a high level of programmability. In User-programmable foreign-object detection (FOD) addition, the P9221-R features a programmable current limit and a Embedded 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0 processor patented over-voltage protection scheme eliminating the need for Dedicated remote temperature sensing additional capacitors generally used by receivers and minimizing Power transfer LED indicator the external component count and cost. Together with IDTs P9242-R transmitter (Tx), the P9221-R is a complete wireless Programmable current limit power system solution for power applications up to 15W. Active-low enable pin for electrical on/off The P9221-R is available in a 52-WLCSP package, and it is rated Open-drain interrupt flag for a 0 to 85C ambient operating temperature range. 2 Supports I C interface 0 to +85C ambient operating temperature range Typical Applications 52-WLCSP (2.64 3.94 mm 0.4mm pitch) Mobile phones Tablets Accessories Medical Typical Application Circuit Programming Resistors BST1 COMM1 INT C S AC1 SDA P9221-R SCL AC2 OUT COMM2 L C S OUT BST2 2017 Integrated Device Technology, Inc. 1 October 10, 2017 ALIGNX VRECT ALIGNY VDD5V VOSET/Q-Fact VDD18 TS/EOC RPPO RPPG GND ILIMP9221-R Datasheet Contents 1.
