The Texas Instruments CD4517BE is a dual 64 stage static counter and shift register. It is composed of two separate 64-stage ripple counters with associated parallel-loadable registers for frequency division and cascading purposes. This device can be used in applications such as digital-to-analog (D/A) or analog-to-digital (A/D) conversion, shift registers, frequency division, and up-down counting. It offers improved logic arranging, ensuring high speed operation. This device features a 3-state output capability and is configured for negative edge-triggered logic. Its power dissipated is a maximum of 200 mW. This semiconductor solution is notable for its low power consumption, with an operating voltage range of 3.0 V to 18 V and an operating temperature range of -50°C to 125°C.
