The 74HC4020PW.112 is an integrated circuit from Nexperia. It is a 14-stage, R-C binary counter/divider and oscillator. Each stage is divided into two, making for a total of 28 stages. The device has an oscillator section that consists of an SR flip-flop and two resistors, an external capacitor, and an external clock input at pin 1. The counter section is activated when a logic high is applied at the RCO input. With each negative edge at the clock input, the count is incremented by one. Outputs Q0 to Q13 are provided in the form of two 4-bit outputs, two 3-bit outputs, two 2-bit outputs, and four single-bit output stages. The device operates on a single +5 V supply and draws a maximum of 24 mA. This 74HC4020PW.112 device is suitable for broadband systems, counters and divider circuits, timers, and frequency dividing circuits.
