MIC47050 500 mA ULDO with Low Input and Low Output Voltage Features General Description Voltage Range The MIC47050 is a high speed, ultra-low dropout (ULDO), dual supply NMOS regulator designed to take - Input Voltage: 1.0V to 3.6V advantage of point-of-load applications that use - Bias Voltage: 2.3V to 5.5V multiple supply rails to generate a low voltage, 0.4V to 2.0V Output Voltage Range high-current power supply. The MIC47050 can source Low Dropout Voltage of 44 mV at 500 mA 500 mA of output current while only requiring a 1 F 1.5% Initial Output Voltage Accuracy ceramic output capacitor for stability. A 1.5% output voltage accuracy, low dropout voltage (44 mV 500 High Bandwidth, Very Fast Transient Response mA), and low ground current makes this device ideally Stable with a 1 F Ceramic Output Capacitor suited for mobile and point-of-load applications. Logic Level Enable Input The MIC47050 has an NMOS output stage that offers UVLO on both Supply Voltages very low output impedance. The NMOS output stage Available in Thermally Enhanced 2 mm x 2 mm makes for a unique ability to respond very quickly to DFN and TDFN Packages sudden load changes such as that required by a 40C to +125C Junction Temperature Range microprocessor, DSP, or FPGA. The MIC47050 AEC-Q100 Qualified and PPAP Capable consumes little quiescent current and can be used for Available for DFN Package Only driving the core voltages of mobile processors, post regulating a core DC/DC converter in any processor. Applications The MIC47050 is available in fixed and adjustable Point-of-Load Applications output voltages in a tiny 2 mm x 2 mm DFN and TDFN PDAs, Notebooks, and Desktops packages with an operating junction temperature range Datacom and Telecom Systems of 40C to +125C.
