MIC2562A Micrel MIC2562A PCMCIA/CardBus Socket Power Controller General Description Features The MIC2562A PCMCIA (Personal Computer Memory Card High-efficiency, low-resistance switches require no International Association) and CardBus power controller 12V bias supply handles all PC Card slot power supply pins, both V and No external components required CC V . The MIC2562A switches between the three V volt- Output current limit and overtemperature shutdown PP CC ages (0V, 3.3V and 5.0V) and the V voltages (OFF, 0V, Open-drain flag for error condition indication PP 3.3V, 5V or 12.0V) required by PC Cards. The MIC2562A Ultra-low power consumption switches voltages from the system power supply to V and Complete PC Card/CardBus V and V switch matrix CC CC PP V . Output voltage is selected by two digital inputs each and in a single package PP output current ranges up to 1A for V and 250mA for V . Logic compatible with industry standard PC Card logic CC PP controllers The MIC2562A provides power management capability con- No voltage shoot-through or switching transients trolled by the PC Card logic controller.
